Tip: Should you lose a socket now, you can always borrow it from your extra axle and then your child can continue driving. Please also check that 1 side is not completely turned up, then there is little left on the other side.
The long shaft has had a slight modification. On one side the nut on the axle is fixed. Therefore, use the instructions below to assemble the long rear axle and rear wheels instead of the instruction manual. You can attach the nut to the axle yourself with ordinary glue.
Mounting long rear axle and rear wheels
Remove the parts from the long axle, note that one nut is fixed and only one nut can be loosened. Insert the short black bushings into the wheels, with the narrower part of the bushing sliding into the bearing of the wheel. Slide one wheel with the bushings over the axle to the fixed nut sitting on the long axle. Then slide a long aluminum pipe over the axle to the wheel. Place the short aluminum pipe between the chainstay and insert the long axle with the wheel on the rider's left side through the holes in the chainstay and through the pipe that sits between the chainstay. Then slide the other long aluminum pipe over the right side of the long axle and then the other wheel with the bushings. Place the nut on the axle, tighten it and check that the wheels spin smoothly. Do not over tighten the nut but certainly not too loose or it will come loose again. To check, the nut that is attached to the axle should be on the left side of the rider and the nut that can be tightened should be on the right side of the rider.
